Director general of civil aviation (DGCA): every country has there own organization to look after the civil aviation matters in India. DGCA (Director General Of Civil Aviation) is one of the controlling authority of our government. Aims of DGCA: to insure the safe and regular air transport at the airport with type of load, types of aircraft makes of aircraft according to the capacity available at the airport for landing and take off the aircraft. 2. To meet the requirement of the airline at the airport for landing and takeoff. 3. To insure latest navigation facility in the aircraft. 4. To insure maintenance of the aircraft as per the safety guidelines. 5. To look after the operation of the airline as per the bilateral agreement and IATA regulations. 6. DGCA also looks after the works of ATC (Air Traffic Control System) for landing and departure time of the aircraft, navigation and radar systems for smooth and regular air traffic at the airport. 7. DGCA regulates the recruitment of flight captains, flight, and ground engineers. 8. Flight captains required licenses issued by DGCA. Licenses are issued after considering: - 1. Type of aircraft they can fly. 2. Flying experience 3. Eye sight 4. Mental and physical health. 9. Flight and ground engineers are also required licenses issued by DGCA.
