When travel by air is interrupted by the use of surface transportation between certain points, the fare should be constructed by:-- calculate based on actual air portions only / close the gap and use through fare calculation. Calculation based on actual routing flown: determine the number and type of surface break to determine the type of fares (ow or ½rt) and what fare construction formula to use. Apply the surface break TPM check for those journeys with international surface sectors to determine if separate ticketing is required. Calculate only those sectors actually travelled by air. Exclude the TPM of the surface sector from the TPM calculation. Void & detach the flight coupons with surface sectors. |
