Spouse or dependents of the official passport holder are not entitled to the issuance of an official passport.

Ordinary passport is issued for persons who are the citizens of a country. Every indian citizen is entitled to the issuance of an ordinary passport without any restrictions after proper verification. The outer cover is navy blue & it is valid for 10 to 20 years. At the time of issuance it has 36 pages. The passport number comprises alphabets other than ‘o’ and ‘d’ and ‘6’ to ‘7’ numerical & it is valid for travel to all countries.
